If you are heading out of town this Memorial Day Weekend, make sure to tell your friends staying local that the Streetz Artz Alliance has two incredible artisan markets taking over the Chicago suburbs this Saturday and Sunday. From Aurora to Tinley Park, patrons can expect a full weekend of craft beer, scratch-made food, vinyl records, Magic: the Gathering singles, handmade art, candles, wellness products, bilingual coloring books, comics, sweet treats, and countless one-of-a-kind treasures.

This weekend's guide includes:

The Streetz Artz Alliance’s signature “Come Sip and Shop With Us!” experience returns with two thoughtfully curated events designed to blend local art, craft beer culture, and small business support into one unforgettable weekend.

Saturday brings patrons to Hopvine Brewing Company in Aurora for The Hoppy Makers Market, while Sunday shifts south to Hailstorm Brewing Co. in Tinley Park for the Flurry Artisan Market. Each event features a unique lineup of artists while also showcasing several fan-favorite vendors appearing at both events.

Curator Alissa Harris has been working overtime behind the scenes leading into the holiday weekend, promoting artists daily through event pages and social media while carefully building lineups that reflect the personality and atmosphere of each brewery. Harris has also infused the branding, posters, artist selection, and promotion with the welcoming and community-driven energy patrons have come to expect from Streetz Artz Alliance events.

In addition to curating both events, Harris will also appear as an artist herself under her creative brand Cats, Crafts & Cooking.

A Weekend Built Around Small Business and Community

The Streetz Artz Alliance (SAA) is a grassroots collective of more than 360 local independent artists, makers, and crafters located throughout the Chicago suburbs, Northwest Indiana, and Southern Wisconsin. Founded by artisan market curator John E. Streetz, the alliance has become known for its highly curated brewery pop-up events that create meaningful opportunities for local small businesses while giving patrons a welcoming and exciting shopping experience.

Unlike many markets that limit categories, the Streetz Artz Alliance embraces variety. Patrons regularly discover vinyl records, comics, collectibles, cards, snacks, original art, wellness products, handmade décor, jewelry, and countless creative surprises all under one roof. The diversity of the lineups helps make every event feel alive and encourages patrons to stay longer, explore more booths, and discover artists they may never have encountered otherwise.

Both brewery venues offer excellent food, rotating craft beverage selections, spacious layouts, and plenty of free parking. Both events are also family-friendly and free to attend. Patrons concerned about unpredictable late-May Chicago weather will also be happy to know both events are primarily indoors, with Hailstorm planning to feature several artists outdoors as weather permits.

The weekend kicks off Saturday, May 23rd from 12pm to 5pm at Hopvine Brewing Company in Aurora. The event will take place indoors, creating a comfortable environment for patrons to browse artists while enjoying food and craft beer regardless of the weather.

Hopvine Brewing Company is a beloved women-owned brewery and scratch kitchen known for its cozy wood-accented taproom, welcoming atmosphere, fireplace seating, and excellent rotating beer lineup. Located near Fox Valley Mall, the brewery has become a favorite destination for craft beer lovers throughout the western suburbs.

Since the previous market, Hopvine has expanded its drink offerings with several new releases. According to Kristin Isley, patrons can expect favorites including Lazer Brain alongside new additions Ada, Strawberry LemonAda, and their Mango Seltzer.

Hopvine’s kitchen will also be turning heads throughout the day.

“As far as food items, a current house favorite is our Smashing Cowboy Burger,” said Isley. “An artist favorite is our Italian Beef Grilled Cheese — seriously, they have run us out of beef at past markets, but we’ll be stocked up this time!”

The Hoppy Makers Market saw several late additions to the lineup leading into Memorial Day Weekend, including Crow & Moon Enchantments, FeFe’s Pickles and Peppers, Jetibles, and Magic Deck Vortex.

Hailstorm Brewing is one of the south suburbs’ most beloved craft breweries and community gathering spaces. Known for its award-winning beers, large taproom, spacious patio, fire pit, and scratch-made kitchen, Hailstorm has become a natural home for artisan markets and community events.

Taproom manager Alyssa Marquez highlighted one of Chef Brian’s featured food items for the market weekend: the Italian Beef Flatbread! “Thin-sliced Italian beef, melted mozzarella, and spicy hot giardiniera piled onto our crispy Roman-style flatbread, served with a savory cup of au jus for dipping. A bold Chicago-inspired favorite with the perfect kick.”

The Flurry Artisan Market also experienced several lineup updates heading into the weekend. Becky Blue Designs unfortunately had to step away from the event and will certainly be missed by many patrons hoping to grab favorites like the famous Malort Rat prints and adorable dog illustrations.

Meanwhile, FeFe’s Pickles and Peppers and Magic Deck Vortex were both added to the Sunday lineup.

Artists Appearing at Both Events

Several artists will be making appearances at both brewery markets this weekend, giving patrons two chances to shop their work.

Accents by Rosey

Patti Rose continues to impress patrons with her vibrant watercolor artwork, handcrafted gifts, greeting cards, bookmarks, magnets, and framed pieces. Many locals may already recognize her work from the stunning stained glass windows at the Tinley Park Library, but her watercolor creations continue to earn admiration from marketgoers looking for heartfelt, colorful décor and gifts.

Left to Right: Accents by Rosey (Saturday & Sunday), Cats, Crafts & Cooking (Saturday & Sunday), and Daisy Brands (Saturday & Sunday)

Cats, Crafts & Cooking

Created by curator Alissa Harris in 2018, Cats, Crafts & Cooking blends creativity, mental health awareness, punk rock DIY energy, and a love for artistic experimentation. Harris has become especially known for her repurposed tile coasters crafted from VHS covers, vintage books, paint, resin, and layered mixed media techniques. Patrons can also expect mugs, cat-themed items, blankets, signs, and more.

Daisy Brand Arts LTD

Known proudly as the “King of Coloring Books,” Daisy Brand Arts LTD specializes in bilingual coloring books, photography postcards, and art prints that combine creativity with accessibility and educational value. The booth offers something refreshingly different within the market lineup and has become a favorite stop for families.

FeFe’s Pickles and Peppers

One of the newest additions to both events, FeFe’s Pickles and Peppers brings homemade pickles, peppers, onions, chow chow, and other savory favorites crafted from family recipes. Whether patrons are searching for toppings for summer cookouts or just want something delicious to snack on while sipping beer, this booth promises bold flavor.

Flock and Field Naturals

Chicago-based wellness brand Flock and Field Naturals focuses on organic CBD and cannabinoid wellness products designed to support the mind, body, and spirit. Their clean product line includes tinctures, bath and body items, topicals, and isolates crafted from premium U.S.-grown hemp.

Magic Deck Vortex

One of the late additions creating major buzz this weekend is Magic Deck Vortex.

Longtime Magic: the Gathering players may remember Magic Deck Vortex from the early 2000s as a casual MTG website featuring weekly articles, deck databases, spoilers, and active message boards long before Commander became the dominant format it is today. Created by John Streetz, the site developed a loyal cult following before eventually shutting down after years of battling scammers and the realities of adult life.

Now resurrected in 2025 as a traveling Magic singles vendor, Magic Deck Vortex has returned with organized binders, Commander decks, accessories, dice, and playable singles spanning multiple formats and price points. Streetz has openly shared that the project is also part of a larger personal goal: selling through portions of his longtime collection to eventually help fund the purchase of a future home.

The booth posted heavily in local Magic groups leading into the weekend and promises a massive singles selection, especially for Sunday’s Hailstorm appearance.

Magic Deck Vortex emphasized that these events are not traditional card-only shows.

“Streetz Artz Alliance markets feature original artists, vinyl vendors, comics, handmade goods, treats, craft vendors, and more — all inside great brewery venues with excellent beer and food,” according to Streetz.

Masterclass Savory Sweet Foods

Brenda Moore’s Masterclass Savory Sweet Foods has quietly become one of the most anticipated food vendors at Streetz Artz Alliance events.

Known for giant six-ounce cookies, candied pecans, gourmet nuts, brownies, and cakes, Moore routinely sells out before events end. Patrons hoping to grab cookies are strongly encouraged to arrive early.

Saturday’s cookie lineup at Hopvine includes Peanut Butter, Butter Pecan, Pecan, Oatmeal Cherry, Chocolate Walnut, and Caramel Coconut.

Sunday’s menu at Hailstorm will feature Funfetti, Chocolate Chocolate, Chocolate Walnut, Snickerdoodle, Peanut Butter Reese’s, Lemon Raspberry, and Caramel Coconut.

Robin Monique Rios Art

Robin Monique Rios continues to stand out as one of the most multidimensional artists appearing at Streetz Artz Alliance events. Her booth combines original paintings, photography, sculpture, clocks, magnets, and literary work into a darkly atmospheric presentation that draws patrons in immediately. Rios will also be debuting her newly released novel, "Raevyn's Plight: Fire & Blood," a dark gothic vampire fantasy — making this a great opportunity to grab a signed copy straight from the author.

Roczilla Records

For music lovers, Roczilla Records has become one of the most exciting recurring vendors within the Streetz Artz Alliance family. Their crates are packed with everything from classic vinyl staples to harder-to-find modern releases, creating a true treasure hunt experience for collectors and casual music fans alike.

Snowingstars

Snowingstars offers handmade jewelry, sun catchers, bookmarks, and sparkling accessories crafted with care and attention to detail. Their colorful display and affordable gift options make the booth especially popular among patrons searching for wearable art and thoughtful handmade gifts.

New Artists Bringing New Energy

Crow & Moon Enchantments joins the weekend with a lineup of intention candles, wax melts, sprays, and spiritual creations designed around manifestation, positive energy, peace, harmony, and wellness. Their booth adds a mystical and meditative energy to the Saturday event at Hopvine.

Jetibles Treats also joins the Hoppy Makers Market lineup with hemp-inspired products including hemp coffee, lemonade, honey, and sauces. Their mission centers around breaking the stigma surrounding hemp products while offering approachable and flavorful options.

More Than Shopping — A Full Brewery Experience

One of the reasons Streetz Artz Alliance events continue to grow is because they offer much more than traditional shopping.

Patrons are encouraged to spend time at the breweries, enjoy fresh craft beer, order food, meet artists, flip through vinyl, search for collectibles, and discover hidden gems while supporting dozens of independent small businesses.

The atmosphere at both Hopvine and Hailstorm encourages guests to slow down, explore, and spend meaningful time engaging with artists and makers directly.

For returning patrons, the weekend also offers an opportunity to reconnect with favorite artists while discovering new additions to the alliance.

Final Reminder Before the Weekend

Whether patrons are hunting for rare vinyl, searching through Magic: the Gathering binders, shopping for handmade gifts, exploring wellness products, grabbing cookies before they sell out, or simply looking for a fun brewery atmosphere to spend Memorial Day Weekend with family and friends, the Streetz Artz Alliance has built two events designed to offer something for everyone.

Both events are family-friendly, free to attend, and feature ample free parking.

Most importantly, every purchase directly supports local artists, makers, musicians, collectors, and small businesses throughout the Midwest.
