From Crystals to Cake Tacos: A Market Like No Other Hits Tighthead Brewing
Mundelein, IL – Tighthead Brewing in Mundelein is set to host its first-ever artisan market in collaboration with the Streetz Artz Alliance this Sunday, May 18, from 12 PM to 5 PM. Over two dozen local artists will transform the brewery’s event space into a vibrant Spring Bazaar featuring handmade goods, tasty treats, original artwork, and unique finds for all ages.
Located at 161 N Archer Ave, Tighthead Brewing provides the perfect backdrop for this indoor sip-and-shop experience. Curated by John E. Streetz, head of the Streetz Artz Alliance, this event marks the Alliance’s debut at the brewery, bringing together 29 talented makers from Illinois, southern Wisconsin, and northwest Indiana.

“This is a great blend of utility, creativity, and fun,” said Streetz. “We’ve got everything from boozy gummies and tie-dye dresses to copper jewelry, tarot readings, and fresh-roasted coffee. Whether you're looking for art, accessories, snacks, or a last-minute gift, this market has something for everyone.”
Attendees can expect an eclectic mix of items including handmade jewelry, 3D printed goods, copper electroformed pieces, soy candles, CBD-infused products, ghost sculptures, chainmaille, custom coasters, and reusable gift bags. Food lovers can indulge in cake tacos, dipped treats, trail mix, pancake mixes, gourmet sauces, and local favorites like Grandma Dan’s Cookies and Jetibles Treats. Casita de Sueños, based in Zion, will offer healing herbs, body oils, plants, and vinyl records, while artists like D’Mood Kreationz and Created by Emme will showcase handcrafted jewelry and accessories for all styles.

Hungry shoppers can also enjoy eats from Centenario Bellos Tacos, a local food truck serving tacos, burritos, nachos, and more—featuring steak, pork, chorizo, and vegetarian options. Meanwhile, Tighthead’s taproom will be pouring fan-favorite beers like Comfortably Blonde, Irie IPA, Scarlet Fire, and Chilly Water, along with cider, seltzers, and non-alcoholic options. Merch and gifts from the brewery will also be available for purchase.
This collaborative event also reflects strong local support. Posters promoting the event can be found in storefronts across Mundelein and surrounding towns. “Huge thanks to the many small businesses who allowed us to post flyers—it means the world to the artists,” said Streetz. “Small businesses are the backbone of the community, and this event is a celebration of exactly that.”
