The gift-giving season is right around the corner, and we have a great way to get a head start on finding something unique while supporting local artists and small businesses! The annual Autumn Artisan Market returns to Church Street Brewing Company in Itasca on Saturday, October 24, from 12pm to 5pm, bringing together more than three dozen local artists, makers, specialty food vendors and creative small businesses for an afternoon of shopping, treats and brewery fun.

Brought to you by the Streetz Artz Alliance, this free, family-friendly event is about more than your typical craft show. You'll find original artwork, handmade jewelry, cozy crocheted accessories, colorful tie-dye, whimsical creations, specialty foods, candles, body care products, chainmaille, holiday-themed earrings, and plenty of other treasures you won't find on an ordinary shopping trip. Whether you're looking for an early holiday gift, something special for yourself, or just an excuse to get out and enjoy a Saturday afternoon, we've got you covered.

This year's market features several artists making their debut at Church Street Brewing's annual market with the Streetz Artz Alliance, alongside familiar favorites our patrons have come to know and love. Our curator, Alissa Harris, has put together a lineup that balances delicious treats, self-care, creativity, and a healthy dose of whimsy. That's a pretty great combination for kicking off the gift-giving season!

And there is a little history behind this partnership that makes this annual event especially meaningful to us.

FIVE YEARS OF WORKING WITH CHURCH STREET BREWING

May 1, 2022, was the first time the Streetz Artz Alliance brought an event to Church Street Brewing. Five years of working together is something worth celebrating, and we're proud to continue bringing local artists and makers to this wonderful brewery.

At the Streetz Artz Alliance, we believe a successful market should be about more than putting tables in a room and hoping people show up. It's about thoughtful curation, introducing patrons to creative people and small businesses, supporting local breweries, and creating an atmosphere where everyone has a reason to come back. Our goal is to offer variety, give artists an opportunity to connect with new customers, and make every event an enjoyable experience for the community.

Church Street Brewing has been a part of that journey, and we're excited to keep bringing our artists and their creations to Itasca.

MEET THE CURATOR BEHIND THE MARKET

This year's Autumn Artisan Market is curated and organized by Streetz Artz Alliance curator Alissa Harris, who is also the owner of Cats, Crafts and Cooking.

Alissa brings her own creative perspective to the markets she organizes, working to create a lineup that offers something for a variety of interests while keeping the overall shopping experience interesting. From handmade goodies and specialty treats to self-care products, original artwork, and unexpected treasures, she enjoys bringing together artists whose work complements one another without making every table look the same.

As Alissa puts it, "The Streetz Artz Alliance is thrilled to be back at Church Street Brewing! This annual market is always a great family-friendly event that offers something for everyone. This year's lineup is one of my favorites I've curated, with a balance between treats, self-love, and whimsy."

We couldn't have said it better ourselves. A little something delicious, a little something creative, and a little something unexpected is exactly what makes these markets fun!

NEW FACES JOINING THE CHURCH STREET BREWING MARKET

One of the things we love about putting together our markets is introducing new artists to the community. Several talented makers will be making their debut at Church Street Brewing's annual Autumn Artisan Market with the Streetz Artz Alliance this year.

3Damian Art brings 3D-printed creativity to the lineup, including figurines, fidgets, clickers, keychains, and home décor. Whether you're shopping for a fun little collectible or something unusual for your space, this is a great stop for anyone who appreciates the possibilities of 3D printing.

Every Day is a Holiday Co. is bringing fun, bold, holiday-themed statement earrings. With collections inspired by Halloween, Day of the Dead, and Thanksgiving, these accessories are designed for people who love celebrating the seasons. And if there's a holiday for it, there's probably an earring for it!

Alongside 3Damian Art and Every Day is a Holiday Co., be sure to check out Gemini Customs, JB Jewelry Design, Luxe Lyte Vibe, Myths & Monsters, Nerdy Kitten LLC, Nymphaea Heka, NYN Creations, Rogue Relics, and Trish's Treasures. Each brings its own creativity and personality to the market, giving you even more reasons to explore different crafts, browse unique creations, and find something you won't see just anywhere. Take your time, meet these artists, ask about their work, and see what catches your eye. You never know what treasures you'll find when you shop local!

Supporting a small business can start with something as simple as stopping at a table, asking an artist about their work, sharing their business with a friend, or finding that one item you didn't know you needed until you saw it.

FAMILIAR FAVORITES WILL BE BACK, TOO!

Of course, we wouldn't have an Autumn Artisan Market without some of the Streetz Artz Alliance favorites our patrons have enjoyed at previous events.

Beaver Rub Spice Company will be there for those who enjoy bringing extra flavor into the kitchen. Belonio Doodles returns with original illustrations, prints, comics, cards, and customized items that are sure to make you smile.

Cats, Crafts and Cooking will be represented by our curator, Alissa Harris, who brings her own creative business to the markets she organizes. Dye the Day Away returns with colorful, one-of-a-kind wearable tie-dye creations. FeFe's Pickles and Peppers brings specialty food offerings, while Gigawatt Coffee Roasters is ready for the coffee lovers.

Honey Grove, KP's Candy Factory, and Masterclass Savory Sweet Foods add delicious options for those who believe a little something sweet is always a good idea. Masterclass Savory Sweet Foods also supports St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, giving shoppers another reason to appreciate the people behind the products.

MasterLink Chainmaille brings its intricate chainmaille creations, while Self Made Body & Soul offers products designed to help you relax and take care of yourself. Snowingstars and Special K's Beer Candles round out the familiar favorites with even more creative options to explore.

And that's only part of the lineup!

ARTISTS GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

One of the things we appreciate about the artists who participate in Streetz Artz Alliance markets is that many of them support charitable causes in addition to running their own small businesses.

Masterclass Savory Sweet Foods donates to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, while Dye the Day Away donates a portion of its sales to The Trevor Project. Several other artists in our events support charitable organizations and causes that matter to them.

It's one of the ways our artists give back to the community. Every business has its own story, and sometimes the impact of shopping small reaches well beyond the item you bring home.

When you shop with local makers, you're supporting real people who put their time, creativity, experience, and often a whole lot of heart into what they do. And when those businesses also support charitable causes, that community connection can go even further.

MORE ARTISTS TO DISCOVER

The market will feature an extensive variety of artists and makers, with something for shoppers who love original artwork, handmade accessories, unusual gifts, specialty foods, and seasonal finds.

Robin Monique Rios Art offers an especially interesting combination of creative work. Robin is a Chicago-based multidisciplinary artist and author whose work includes photography, painting, sculpture, and narrative fiction. Visitors can discover original art, watercolors, photographic prints, CD magnets, and her dark fantasy vampire novel, Raevyn's Plight: Fire & Blood.

Left to Right: EZ Angel Creations, Dust Bunny Mafia and Eye Struck

Self Made Body & Soul is the business of Paula, who puts her experience, creativity, and love of making into products designed to support both body and spirit. Her offerings include soaps, scrubs, butters, balms, oils, bath bombs, bubbles, mists, candles, soaks, smudge bundles, intention kits, and crystals. Whether you're looking for a little self-care or a thoughtful gift, there will be plenty to explore.

EZ Angel Creations specializes in hand-knit and crocheted accessories, home décor, and giftable pieces made with thoughtfully selected yarns and materials. Expect cozy hats, earwarmers, cowls, shawls, scarves, bags, purses, and more, along with scrunchies, jewelry, macramé, small candles, and other seasonal items.

Eye struck uses the ancient craft of paper quilling to create handmade works of art. By shaping strips of paper into detailed designs, this artist creates wall art, ornaments, and stickpin brooches. It's a wonderful example of how a simple material can become something intricate and beautiful through patience and creativity.

Dust Bunny Mafia brings comic-book humor and storytelling to the market. Illinois cartoonist and author Bret Juliano is the creator of the long-running Dust Bunny Mafia comic, along with projects such as Mobimals, Detective Potatoes, and Based on a True Story. His work draws on cartoon humor, organized crime history, and unusual historical stories. Visitors can browse books, art prints, playing cards, stickers, and other illustrated merchandise.

Crafty Creations specializes in layered shadowbox décor, with favorite designs featuring plants, animals, and seasonal themes. Custom requests are also welcome, making these pieces worth a look if you're searching for something special for your home.

Left to Right: Belonio Doodles sketch, Crafty Creations shadow box and Dye the Day Away will have all of the hoodies for purchase at the event this Saturday!

Belonio Doodles returns with a little bit of everything. A local artist and educator, Belonio combines illustrations, Chicago-style hot dog enthusiasm, and comic-book interests into artwork designed to put a smile on people's faces. The artist's work has appeared in Chicago Magazine, Downers Grove Magazine, Fox News Chicago, WGN Morning News, and Windy City Bulls games. Visitors can browse original art, prints, comics, cards, and customized items.

And, of course, 3Damian Art's 3D-printed figurines, fidgets, clickers, keychains, and home décor are another reason to take your time and see what everyone has brought along.

The participating lineup is subject to change, but there will be plenty of opportunities to meet the makers, ask questions, and discover something new.

MAKE AN AFTERNOON OF IT AT CHURCH STREET BREWING

A good market is even better when there's food and something great to drink nearby, and Church Street Brewing Company has you covered.

Located at 1480 Industrial Drive in Itasca, Church Street Brewing recently celebrated its 14th anniversary on October 1, 2026. Fourteen years of brewing is quite a milestone, and we're happy to be returning for another annual market with a brewery that has become part of the Streetz Artz Alliance story.

Church Street Brewing has an interesting history. The brewery began with a Christmas gift that introduced founder Joe Gregor to homebrewing. With a background as a chemical engineer who designed oil refineries around the world, Joe eventually developed a specialized brewing system inspired by the traditional lagers he came to appreciate while working in Southern Germany.

That approach helped shape the brewery's focus on decoction brewing, a traditional process that uses different mash temperatures to develop subtle flavors from the grain. Today, Church Street offers a wide variety of beers, including its specialty lagers, British pub ales, hazy IPAs, fruited sours, and barrel-aged beers.

But you don't have to be a beer drinker to enjoy the visit!

The Itasca location offers a kitchen menu featuring giant soft pretzels, salads, pizzas, flatbreads, sandwiches, and other snacks and handheld options. There are also wine selections, cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, and other beverage choices, making it easy for everyone in your group to find something they enjoy.

Church Street has also announced that it is now open for weekday lunch. To keep guests safe while brewing operations are underway, weekday lunch service takes place in the Steeple, its private event space, with entry through the front of the building. The menu and beverage selection remain the same.

For the Autumn Artisan Market, come enjoy the welcoming brewery atmosphere, grab something to eat or drink, and spend some time browsing the artists and makers. You can check out the brewery's food menu here: Church Street Food Menu.
