Pets, Tacos & Beer - Oh My!

Soundgrowler Brewing hosts over 40 artists inside and outside for the Pet Market 2025!
Pet lovers are anticipated to flock in the beer garden of Tinley park brewery Soundgrowler Brewing this Saturday, May 17, from 12pm to 5pm. Weather is looking to be partly cloudy with a very low chance of rain and medium to high winds as of writing this, perfect for paws on the pavement. The market, open to all and family friendly, is free to attend and will have artists inside the brewery and outside the brewery.
Patrons are invited to bring their pets and hang out in the brewery's outdoor beer garden. Loaded with picnic tables and shade from trees, this proves a perfect hang out for pets and their humans. In addition, about half of the artists will be setup in the parking lot, each under their own tents and selling a variety of treats, items and decor themed perfect for pet lovers.
The brewery plans to have a tent setup outside so you can order drinks. Only service animals are allowed inside due to health code and patrons are recommended to plan for bathroom breaks and ordering food by bringing lots of friends to keep an eye on pets.
"Our vision for this market is pet centric and offers a safe space for pets in addition to original art, handmade items and treats for humans," explained John Streetz, head of the Streetz Artz Alliance and curator for this event. "We have over ten new artists and many of our alliance favorites are here like Masterclass Savory Sweet Foods, Wanna Pickle, Belonio Doodles, Gigawatt Coffee, Beaver Rub Spice, DK Custom Woodworking and KP's Candy Factory!"
With over forty artists in the event, the lineup has everything from pet treats, CBD tinctures, pet themed jewelry and apparel to beer candles, self care balms and sprays, pet shaped soaps, coasters, unique pets like spiders and beetles, pet beds, exotic jerky, bandanas, stickers, scents and decor.
Brand new to the event this year are artists, local businesses and crafters from the south suburbs.
Local businesses like Hometown Veterinary Partners of Orland Park will be setup to offer information about their practice. Hometown Veterinary Partners is a veterinary hospital that provides pets and owners with a comfortable environment and exceptional care. We're strive to provide care that is approachable, accessible and individualized to each pet, and we focus on collaboration and community involvement.
Likewise, Wilder Path Wellness is a veterinarian serving Shorewood, IL and surrounding areas; proudly providing the integrative knowledge and wellness care your pet deserves all in the comfort of your own home. Services include massage, herbal medicine, vaccines, blood work, and more.
Chunky Yarn Creations is brand new to this event and the Streetz Artz Alliance and creates soft, beautiful, washable items for your home. Specifically, they construct them to withstand your family and pets! "Your pet will not be able to resist the snuggly texture," according to Heather Schmidt, owner of Chunky Yarn Creations.
Design A Collar is also brand new to this event and the Streetz Artz Alliance and provides personalized leather dog collars with your dog's name and your phone number — made to look great and keep your pet safe. Geralyn Goers, owner of this business, recommends, "Pick your favorite color and design to create a collar that’s just right for your dog." Products from this artist include Custom dog collars, cat collars, Leather leashes to match, belts, barretts and key fobs.
Other artists that are brand new include the following artists. Items from this grouping range from 3D printed animal creations, original art, pet sprays and candles, jewelry, tumblers, terrariums, specialy designed plates, bandanas, unique jerky flavors and vegan handmade pet fragrances to name a few.

Several artists will be offering custom pet portraits again this year. Belonio Doodles, Jonathan Grimm Art, Libby McArthur Art and Becky Blue each offer their own styles and services to make art of your pet, often working with photos you provide and direction from you. The majority of artists also do commissions that span other topics beyond your pet.
PAWS of Tinley Park will be back again this year and plans to bring info about the shelter, some merch and a few adoptable animals. The Peoples Animal Welfare Society of Tinley Park is a no-kill animal shelter dedicated to the protection of domestic animals and to the attempt to prevent animal cruelty in the surrounding communities. Part of their mission is to provide shelter to abandoned, lost and relinquished pets. They are dedicated to finding safe and permanent new homes for our domestic animals as well as helping the public choose the right companions for their families. Products they plan to sell include shirts, cups, license plate holders.
Highlighting two of the artists in the event offering up treats for your help and more:
Tonie's Treats is a husband-and-wife team, that are eco-friendly homebrewers aiming for zero waste. They take their spent grains and create crunchy dog treats. Their treats are made with simple ingredients like homemade apple puree, peanut butter, bananas, and carrots. We source our fruits and vegetables from businesses who would otherwise discard less-than-perfect products and our packaging is 100% recyclable allowing for guilt-free crunchy treats. Handmade items from this artist range from three sizes of crunchy dog biscuits to dog ice cream popsicles and recently added to their line-up: homemade jarred peanut butter!
Boscos All Natural dog and cat treats is a family owned and operated local Tinley Park business that only uses all natural products. Their base on most of their treats are coconut flour with a pinch of love with putting your animal first. Products from this artist nclude dog and cat treats, high value treats toppers, blankets, gift boxes, artwork, hygiene products household products magnets, bandanna, bow ties blankets and more.
