TINLEY PARK, IL – Pets, Beer, Tacos and Art returns to Soundgrowler Brewing this Saturday, June 20, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. for a free, family-friendly artisan market. More than 50 artists, pet businesses, service providers, and community organizations are expected to participate.
Curated by John Streetz of the Streetz Artz Alliance, this year's event builds on the success of Soundgrowler's previous pet markets while introducing an entirely new theme inspired by midsummer celebrations, folklore, fantasy, and the magic of the summer solstice.
Located at Soundgrowler Brewing, 8201 183rd Street Suite P in Tinley Park, the event will feature artists both inside the brewery and throughout the outdoor beer garden. The event will take place rain or shine.
One important note for attendees planning to bring their furry companions: due to health regulations, pets are only permitted in the outdoor beer garden. Service animals are welcome inside the brewery. Guests bringing pets should plan accordingly when ordering food, beverages, or taking restroom breaks.

Beyond shopping and entertainment, the event also offers valuable resources and services for pet owners.
P.A.W.S. Tinley Park returns as one of the featured organizations at the event. A cornerstone of animal rescue in the south suburbs, P.A.W.S. is an independent no-kill shelter dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming domestic animals while providing education and support throughout the community. Their participation continues to make them one of the most important and beloved parts of Soundgrowler's pet markets.
Visitors can also meet representatives from Prairie State Veterinary Clinic, learn about in-home care options through Compass Pet Sitting, and discover professional pet waste management solutions through DoodyCalls of Southwest Chicagoland.
Smushy Moments Pet Photography will be offering outdoor pet portrait sessions throughout the day.
"So excited to be a part of this event," said the team at Smushy Moments Pet Photography. "I'll be offering outdoor studio pop-up portraits. $35 per pet, 10-minute sessions and digital images. I'll also have accessories on site to complete your pup's look."
While this is a returning event, organizers have completely reinvented the experience.

"Alex Kujawa, one of the artists in this event, recommended we spin this with a midsummer magic theme," said Streetz. "When we checked with Soundgrowler, it was a go. So we moved the event from May into June and added some mystical forest energy elements to the line-up. Combining the magic of midsummer with the cuteness of pets should make this a brand-new recurring event we can enjoy at Soundgrowler for years to come."
The result is an event that blends three distinct experiences into one afternoon: a pet market, a midsummer fantasy market, and a community brewery festival. Guests will find artists inspired by faeries, folklore, and midsummer magic; pet-focused artists creating animal-themed artwork, decor, and gifts; and a variety of Streetz Artz Alliance favorites offering everything from coffee and pickles to candles, apparel, candy, and handcrafted goods.
As with all Streetz Artz Alliance events, the goal is variety.

Soundgrowler Brewing continues to be one of the most creative brewery partners in the Streetz Artz Alliance network, regularly embracing unique event concepts ranging from Krampus Markets and Dark Arts Markets to Plant Markets, Summerween celebrations, and pet-focused events. The Midsummer Pet Market continues that tradition by creating a show where pet lovers, fantasy fans, families, and craft beer enthusiasts can all find something to enjoy.
One of the featured artists helping inspire this year's magical transformation is Art of Alex Kujawa. A longtime favorite among Streetz Artz Alliance attendees, Kujawa is an artist, author, and illustrator whose work explores folklore, fantasy, haunted gardens, dark forests, and legendary creatures.
"Do you love cats? Do you fear cats? If yes or YES, I have a book for you!" shared Kujawa while promoting her latest release, 31 Supernatural Felines. Visitors can browse her illustrated folklore books, original artwork, glow-in-the-dark prints, stickers, and fantasy-inspired creations throughout the event.

The magical side of the market continues with artists such as Crow & Moon Enchantments, known for intention candles and mystical creations, Melanie Klegerman Fersko, author and illustrator of The Lost Book of Faerie Magic, and With Love Products, which will be bringing solstice-inspired soaps, self-care products, and summer-themed creations.
Geekbit Creations has also been preparing specifically for the event, recently sharing previews of new butterfly faerie ear cuffs inspired by fantasy and folklore.
Visitors looking to lean into the mystical side of the event can also visit two unique tarot readers. Ten Cups Tarot will be set up inside the brewery while Adorable Oracle will offer readings outdoors in the beer garden. Both readers bring different styles and perspectives, giving attendees the opportunity to explore multiple approaches to tarot, oracle readings, and spiritual guidance throughout the afternoon.
Animal lovers will discover no shortage of pet-inspired art throughout the market.

Cats, Crafts & Cooking will be bringing its popular handcrafted coasters, etched glasses, cat toys, and pet-themed creations. Libby McArthur Art will showcase detailed animal illustrations and fantasy-inspired artwork. Splendid Scale Designs specializes in whimsical reptile art and custom pet commissions. Accents by Rosey will feature watercolor paintings celebrating animals of all kinds.
Jen Watson Art has been busy creating new cat-themed stickers for the event, including a colorful collection inspired by sleeping cats, loaf cats, and beloved feline personalities.
MPN 3D has spent the week producing an army of animal-themed 3D printed creations, ranging from articulated creatures and fidget toys to collectible animals that require considerably less maintenance than real pets.
Topsy-Turvy Totems, ScarabSanctuary, Q's Wreaths and Gifts, and many additional artists will offer a wide range of pet-inspired decor, accessories, gifts, and handcrafted art.
For pet owners looking to spoil their furry companions, the Midsummer Pet Market features one of the strongest collections of pet treat makers and pet-focused vendors assembled in the south suburbs this summer.

One of the event's longtime staples is Tonie's Treats, a husband-and-wife team beloved by many returning attendees. Their eco-friendly approach transforms spent brewing grains into wholesome dog treats while reducing waste. Visitors can shop crunchy dog biscuits, homemade peanut butter, dog-friendly ice cream, bandanas, bow ties, and other canine accessories.
Joining them will be Angels Freeze Dried Dog Treats, known throughout Chicagoland for healthy single-ingredient treats, Bark BBQ with its smoked all-natural dog treats, Rainey Dog Ranch and its signature sweet potato "Good Dog Fries," Cat and the Kestrel with catnip-filled toys and sleep mats, and Bosco's Marketplace, a Tinley Park-based pet wellness destination offering natural treats, nutrition support, and holistic pet products.
Bosco's recently shared, "Check out our hygiene products and our amazing treats, freeze dried treats, bones, high-value chews and so much more for this event."
Of course, no Streetz Artz Alliance event would be complete without many of the familiar artisan favorites attendees have come to expect.
Guests can shop beer-inspired candles from Special K's BeerCandles, handcrafted tie-dye apparel from Dye The Day Away, fresh roasted coffee from Gigawatt Coffee Roasters, handcrafted chainmaille from MasterLink Chainmaille, gourmet treats from KP's Candy Factory and Masterclass Savory Sweet Foods, vintage and repurposed apparel from Pretty Spooky Handmade, and the ever-popular pickles, peppers, and onions from FeFe's Pickles and Peppers.

Whether you're coming to meet adorable dogs in the beer garden, shop for unique gifts, discover local artists, enjoy tarot readings, support animal rescue organizations, or simply spend an afternoon enjoying craft beer and community, the Midsummer Pet Market offers something for everyone.
The Midsummer Pet Market takes everything people loved about previous Soundgrowler pet markets and adds an extra layer of fantasy, creativity, and midsummer magic. With a little cooperation from the weather, organizers hope to create an unforgettable afternoon filled with local art, community connections, and plenty of wagging tails.
More than 1,500 people have already expressed interest in attending through the event's Facebook page, making it one of the most anticipated summer markets at Soundgrowler Brewing.
Admission is free, all ages are welcome, and there is no cover charge. Grab your friends, bring the family, and if they're comfortable around crowds, bring your pets to enjoy the outdoor beer garden. The Streetz Artz Alliance hopes to see hundreds of familiar faces and plenty of new ones for what promises to be the most magical version of the Soundgrowler Pet Market yet.
