Horizon Holiday Handmade Market returns to Black Horizon Brewing this Sunday 11/8
Horizon Holiday Handmade Market Brings 18 Local Artists to Black Horizon Brewing This Sunday

Holiday shopping, craft beer, a food truck and 18 local artists are coming together this Sunday, November 8, at Black Horizon Brewing Company in Willowbrook for the Horizon Holiday Handmade Market. The event runs from 12pm to 5pm and features a curated lineup of artists, makers and small businesses, with more than ten artists making their debut at this venue.
Hosted by Black Horizon Brewing and curated by the Streetz Artz Alliance, the market offers an opportunity to get a head start on holiday shopping while supporting local artists and enjoying some of the brewery's latest offerings. Murder of Crows Food Truck will also be on site from 12pm to 5pm.
"If you've shopped the markets at Black Horizon Brewing in the past and want to check out a fresh lineup and lots of new items, this Sunday you'll want to come back for some early holiday shopping!" explained John Streetz, event curator and founder of the Streetz Artz Alliance.
The market features an indoor and outdoor setup, with the majority of artists located inside the brewery. Black Horizon has rearranged portions of its taproom and brewing area to accommodate the artists while maintaining seating for patrons. It's an intimate setup that allows visitors to grab a beverage, walk through the market and spend some time getting to know the people behind the handmade products.
Streetz is also returning to coordinate the markets at Black Horizon after Paula Krizek previously handled the events for the Streetz Artz Alliance. Streetz helped establish the relationship with the brewery when the markets first began there.
"It's great to be back running the market at Black Horizon," explained Streetz. "They have new tables, new beers and a cozy taproom I love running events at. This event also has several artists making their debut this Sunday!"
There's plenty happening behind the bar, too. According to Alex Stankus, one of the owners of Black Horizon Brewing, the brewery is releasing Holiday Fist Fight, its house hazy IPA featuring blood orange and cranberry, in both draft and cans on Friday. The brewery also expects to have its Schwarzbier back on tap in time for Sunday's market.
The artists are bringing an impressive range of handmade and unique gift ideas. From jewelry, illustrations, original artwork and home décor to crystals, miniature sculptures, 3D-printed creations, specialty foods, wooden gifts and wearable accessories, the lineup was curated to offer something different at nearly every table.
Some familiar Streetz Artz Alliance favorites will be returning, including Belonio Doodles, Ghost Owl Studio, Honey Grove, Wanna Pickle Gourmet Foods and With Love Products. Visitors will also find several new faces and businesses bringing fresh ideas to the brewery.
Left to Right: Wanna Pickle Gourmet Foods, Honey Grove and Belonio Doodles are all favorites for patrons of the Streetz Artz Alliance. Each will have their own spin of perfect gift options.
For those looking for wearable gifts and personal accessories, Ghost Owl Studio, Hillary Starpants Jewelry + Design and With Love Products have plenty to explore. Expect jewelry, accessories, apparel, body sprays, beard oils and other gift-worthy items.
If food gifts are more your style, Jam. Foods & Services, Wanna Pickle Gourmet Foods and Honey Grove are bringing sweet and savory options. From pickles and hot sauces in a range of flavors and heat levels to honey gift boxes featuring four varieties, there's no shortage of tasty options to take home.
Illustration and art lovers will want to check out Accents by Rosey and Flowering Fields Designs. Both artists bring original illustrations and artwork, with prints, cards and bookmarks in their own distinctive styles. Accents by Rosey will have everything from Halloween-inspired artwork to festive holiday prints, while Flowering Fields Designs will also have tote bags and other gift ideas.
Atlas Art Designs, Audie Hart Creations and Belonio Doodles add even more variety with puzzles, wooden jewelry, original artwork, prints, card and art pairings, and fiber-related creations including knitting and crochet. Whether you're shopping for someone who loves pop culture, handmade accessories or something a little different, this group has plenty to offer.
There are also several artists whose work deserves a closer look.
Blue Casa Studios by Jaqui is the work of a local Chicana artist who combines her Mexican heritage with whimsical and macabre influences. Her original creations include miniature dioramas, paintings and mixed-media artwork.
Wylde Mountain Thyme brings an extensive selection of crystals and related accessories, including carvings, specimens, spheres, crystal jewelry, hair accessories, pendulums, runes, tarot cards and more. The business emphasizes quality and ethically sourced crystals, with options in a variety of styles and price ranges.
The Crooked Workbench combines modern technology with hands-on artistry, pairing 3D printing with hand painting to create distinctive pieces. Visitors can find magnets, miniature figures, articulated animals, mini Pokémon, lamps, desk décor and light switch covers.

Slow Poke Sculpts specializes in one-of-a-kind, hand-sculpted and hand-painted clay characters. The artist puts a peculiar twist on everyday objects, people and animals, creating a collection of creepy-cute figurines, holiday décor, keychains, stickers and more.
K&T Handcrafted Creations brings beautifully lathe-turned gifts, including pens, bottle stoppers, bottle openers, seam rippers, crochet hook sets and diamond painting pen sets. These are the kinds of handcrafted items you don't see everywhere and make for some particularly unique gift ideas.
C.Beanowitz is another new face at the market, bringing witty and unique pins, stickers and other fun creations. This is the artist's first Streetz Artz Alliance event and first appearance at Black Horizon Brewing.

Beyond the shopping, several participating artists also support charitable organizations and causes through their businesses. Atlas Art Designs supports Scouting America, K&T Handcrafted Creations supports the Moebius Foundation, and With Love Products contributes to the Ekukhanyeni Relief Project. It's another great reminder that supporting local artists can extend well beyond the purchase itself.
"We work hard to curate these events so visitors have a good variety of artists and aren't walking into a room full of the same things," Streetz explained. "Every artist brings something different, and that's what makes these markets fun. You never know what you're going to discover or who you're going to find something perfect for."
The Horizon Holiday Handmade Market takes place Sunday, November 8, from 12pm to 5pm at Black Horizon Brewing Company, located at 7560 S. Quincy Street in Willowbrook, Illinois.
Admission is completely free, and the event is family-friendly. The market will take place rain, snow or shine, with indoor and outdoor artist spaces. Parking is available in the main lot, on nearby streets where permitted, and in designated overflow areas behind the property or across the street.
Black Horizon Brewing is dog-friendly on its outdoor patio. Pets are not permitted inside the taproom, with the exception of service animals.
The artist lineup may experience minor changes before event day, and some handmade and one-of-a-kind items may be available in limited quantities. Arriving early is always a good idea if you have your eye on something special.
"Come sip and shop with us!" is the 2026 Streetz Artz Alliance motto.
