The Spring Equinox Market – A Plant and Seed Event returns to Soundgrowler Brewing in Tinley Park on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Curated by John Streetz of the Streetz Artz Alliance, this free, family-friendly event celebrates the arrival of spring with a lively mix of plant vendors, artists, makers, and unique finds that welcome the new growing season.

Held at Soundgrowler Brewing, located at 8201 183rd St., Suite P in Tinley Park, the Spring Equinox Market is expected to feature approximately 50 artists and vendors, with around 25 indoors and 25 outdoors on the brewery’s patio. In the case of bad weather, all vendors will be moved indoors to ensure the event remains comfortable and accessible for both patrons and artists.

This year brings a slight rebrand to the event. While the market has always focused on plants, organizers expanded the concept to include seeds, propagation tools, spring equinox-themed art, and creative plant-inspired goods. The goal is to create an even more dynamic experience where visitors can explore not only live plants, but also the tools, art, and inspiration that help bring gardens and green spaces to life.

Patrons can expect a wide variety of plant vendors offering houseplants, seedlings, seeds, and gardening supplies alongside artists featuring plant-themed artwork, décor, and handmade goods. As with most Streetz Artz Alliance events, the market will also include a curated mix of complementary vendors offering items such as honey, woodworking, baked goods, coffee, tarot readings, and other unique creations. This blend of themed and complementary vendors has become a hallmark of Streetz Artz Alliance markets, ensuring there is always something new to discover.

Organizers have also listened closely to feedback from previous events. One request that came through loud and clear was the desire for even more plant-focused vendors. Several plant sellers sold out during last year’s event, and efforts are underway to bring back many of those popular vendors while also introducing new growers and plant specialists to the lineup.

The patio at Soundgrowler Brewing is pet friendly, while the indoor taproom allows service animals only. Visitors are encouraged to stroll between indoor and outdoor vendor areas while enjoying the brewery’s welcoming atmosphere.

Soundgrowler Brewing will be serving its full lineup of craft beverages throughout the event, including a rotating selection of craft beers along with non-alcoholic beer options, seltzers, and house root beer. Guests can also grab food from the brewery’s kitchen, which will be open during the event and serving its popular tacos, burritos, and other menu favorites.

Art lovers visiting the brewery can also check out the current featured artist. While April’s Artist of the Month will be announced soon, March’s featured artist is Rich Stachon, whose work is currently on display and available for purchase inside the brewery.
