Crafted at the Oak Blooms This Sunday

...with Plants, Vinyl & 40+ Artists at Imperial Oak Brewing

A fresh chapter begins this Sunday in Willow Springs as the beloved artisan markets at Imperial Oak Brewing reintroduce themselves under a new name: Crafted at the Oak. Designed as an evolving, curated series, each event will bring a slightly different theme and energy. This Sunday's edition, A Plant & Vinyl Market, leans fully into two passions that pair surprisingly well: lush greenery and timeless sound.

Rooted in Chicago is one of our three main plant vendors in the event and The Record Den is one of our three main vinyl vendors for Sunday. Photos by the each of the artists.

Taking place Sunday, May 3 from 11am to 5pm at Imperial Oak Brewing (501 Willow Blvd, Willow Springs, IL), this family-friendly, free-to-attend market invites guests to sip craft beer while exploring more than 40 artists, makers, and specialty vendors. With Beach Avenue BBQ serving starting at noon and Pizza 750 available all day, it’s an easygoing destination for a full afternoon of local flavor—both culinary and creative.

A Deeper Crate Dig: Featured Vinyl Vendors

This market expands its vinyl presence, growing from two to three dedicated record vendors—all set up indoors for the ultimate crate-digging experience.

The Record Den anchors the vinyl lineup with a deep and dynamic catalog spanning from the 1960s through today. From classic rock and metal to punk and blues, their collection balances affordable finds with rare gems, appealing to both casual listeners and serious collectors.

GMuzik brings a carefully curated mix of vintage and newer LPs, with a strong focus on the golden eras of the ‘60s and ‘70s while still reaching into modern releases. Their selection feels like flipping through a well-loved personal collection—thoughtful, nostalgic, and full of discovery.

Neon Needle Records offers something entirely different: a pop culture-driven vinyl experience. Specializing in anime soundtracks, video game scores, Japanese city pop, and film/TV music, their booth is a must-visit for fans of niche and immersive audio worlds. Expect everything from Studio Ghibli scores to lo-fi and iconic franchise releases.

Spring in Full Bloom: Featured Plant Vendors

At the brewery’s suggestion, this Crafted at the Oak event introduces a strong plant presence—perfect timing with spring in full swing and Mother’s Day just around the corner.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants caters to collectors and enthusiasts, offering rare tropical plants and beautifully variegated species alongside 3D-printed pots and propagation tools. Their booth is equal parts botanical showcase and functional art.

Rooted In Chicago focuses on approachable greenery for everyday living. With a curated selection of healthy houseplants—from beginner-friendly staples to rarer finds—they aim to make plant care accessible while helping customers create their own indoor oasis.

Honey’s Pots & Props brings charm in small packages, featuring mini live plants, air plants, and accessories. They’ll also be sharing information about their hands-on workshops, making their booth a great entry point for those curious about plant care.

Beaver Rub Spice Company will have some plants for sale at this event, in addition to their normal spread of spices, honey and hot sauce. Photo by Artist

Adding a flavorful twist, Beaver Rub Spice Company will not only offer their signature BBQ rubs, spice blends, and hot sauces, but also a selection of pepper plants—perfect for those looking to grow their own ingredients at home.

Beyond the Theme: A Full Artisan Experience

While plants and vinyl take center stage, Crafted at the Oak remains true to the Streetz Artz Alliance mission: delivering a diverse, high-quality, and engaging artisan market. Guests will find everything from handcrafted jewelry and geek-inspired gaming accessories to cigar box guitars by Scrapgrinder Guitars and imaginative baked goods from The Great Sandeenie.

Collectors can also explore Black Flag Trading, offering Pokémon and trading card products alongside accessories for players and hobbyists. If space allows, a pop-up from Magic Deck Vortex may join indoors with a curated selection of Magic: The Gathering singles.

For those seeking something more spiritual, Angelic Celestial Whispers will provide tarot and mediumship readings, adding another layer of depth to the day’s experience.

A Market with Personality

Crafted at the Oak embraces the unexpected. It’s a place where you’ll find items that are quirky, artistic, nostalgic, bold, or beautifully strange—pieces that make a statement or become a meaningful gift. With Mother’s Day just one week away, it’s also an ideal opportunity to find something personal and one-of-a-kind.

Rain or shine, the event will go on, with indoor spaces ensuring continuity in case of weather. And as always, many participating artists give back to charitable causes, reinforcing the community-driven spirit behind every Streetz Artz Alliance event.
