Crafted with Pride: Wolfden Hosts Over 50 Artists on June 1

Bloomingdale, IL — Known for its craft beer and haunted tours, Wolfden Brewing is adding another reason to visit this Sunday, June 1, 2025: the debut of the Crafted with Pride Summer Market. Taking place from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 112 W Lake St. in Bloomingdale, IL, this free outdoor event marks the start of Pride Month in DuPage County with over 50 local artists, makers, and small businesses.

Curated by the Streetz Artz Alliance, the Crafted with Pride Market celebrates LGBTQ+ creators and allies through a vibrant showcase of handmade goods, artwork, accessories, self-care items, and sweet treats. The artist roster features an eclectic mix: illustrators, woodworkers, crochet artists, bookbinders, jewelers, tie-dye creators, tarot readers, pet treat makers, and more. Many vendors have incorporated LGBTQ+ colors, symbols, and themes into their products to honor the month’s message of love, identity, and self-expression.

The event is free to attend, family-friendly, and will run rain or shine—with weather forecasts predicting a beautiful day for shopping and celebration. Artists will be set up outside the brewery in front, in the beer garden, and in the adjacent side lot.

Inside the brewery, guests can enjoy 14 beers on tap, including fan favorites Foggy Thoughts and Blue Gnome, alongside cider, seltzers, and a limited cocktail menu available during the event. The kitchen will offer a variety of shareable appetizers and sandwiches such as cheese curds, pretzels, fries, and more—perfect for pairing with a cold brew between booths.

Leashed pets are welcome in the outdoor areas, including the beer garden. Only service animals are permitted inside the brewery per health regulations.

Melissa Hamilton, owner of Dye the Day Away, a tie-dye apparel company, plans to donate a portion of sales at this event to The Trevor Project (https://www.thetrevorproject.org/). In addition, Avijo Design is also donating to Point of Pride (https://www.pointofpride.org/). Several other charites are supported by individual artists at this event including National Public Radio (www.npr.org), Trans Lifeline (https://translifeline.org/), Chicago Abortion Fund (https://www.chicagoabortionfund.org/), and Equality Institute (https://www.theequalityinstitute.com/). Other charities are supported amongst the over fifty artists and patrons are welcome to open discussion about charities during the event.

Pride Month—an annual observance celebrating LGBTQ+ identities, community, and culture—is brought to life at this market through thoughtful, artistic expression. Vendors such as Luna’s Loops and The Tangled Dame will showcase crocheted creatures and reclaimed-material birdhouses in Pride flag colorways. Wicked Art LLC, MasterLink Chainmaille, and Nethercrafts are also adding pride-themed designs to their collections, and LGBTQ-owned businesses like Wolf Den Gaming and Cunning Linguist Co. proudly reflect queer identity in their offerings.

Artist Highlights Include:

Belonio Doodles, a Chicago-based artist and educator whose cheerful, comic-style illustrations have been featured by WGN and Chicago Magazine.
Avijo Design, known for their colorful, fandom-inspired sewn goods and one-of-a-kind bags.
DK Custom Woodwork, a veteran-owned brand specializing in natural hardwood heirloom pieces.
Not All Thumbs Woodcrafts, which blends personal resilience and fine woodworking in popular items like rainbow Yardzee and hand-turned kitchenware.
Gothic Moments, offering gothic reinterpretations of classic Precious Moments figurines—many with LGBTQ+ themes.
Cunning Linguist Co., a proudly queer-owned label creating bold, irreverent accessories and apparel.

Other highlights include pride-forward snacks from Bosco’s All Natural Dog & Cat Treats, rainbow marshmallows from Honey Bee Kind, colorful bath products from JLK Soaps and Such, and affirming tarot sessions with Ten Cups Tarot.
