Tighthead's Comics, Cards & Cookies Bazaar is this Saturday!
The Streetz Artz Alliance is collaborating with Tighthead Brewing Company again, but this time we’re doing something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!
On Saturday, October 10, we’re bringing something brand new to Mundelein with the first-ever Comics, Cards & Cookies Bazaar + More at Tighthead Brewing Company from 12pm to 6pm.
This is not your typical Streetz Artz Alliance market.
This one is part comic book show, part trading card show, part artisan market, part sweet treat extravaganza and, honestly, we’re not quite sure what to call the rest of it!
We’ve brought together comic vendors, card sellers, original artists, illustrators, authors, jewelry makers, chainmaille artists, 3D printing, tarot, photography, handmade goods, specialty food vendors and some seriously good cookie vendors.
And yes, there will be gluten-free treats, too.
If you’re heading to Collect-i-con this weekend, you already know there is a LOT going on in the world of comics, cards and collectibles. But if you’re looking for something a little more intimate, a little more relaxed and a whole lot easier to navigate, come check out what we’re doing at Tighthead.
No giant convention hall. No walking miles to find the vendors you want to see. No admission fee.
Just a brewery, a great group of independent creators and vendors, a whole lot of comics, cards, art and cookies, and plenty of time to actually talk to the people behind the tables.
Left to Right: South Side Comic Book Show, Belonio Doodles & Back Issue Bin 73
Our comic lineup is led by Back Issue Bin 73 with Ron Baguisa, Belonio Doodles and South Side Comic Book Show. If you’ve been to our Comics, Cards & Vinyl Market at Noon Whistle in Naperville or our Comic & Cosplay Market at Soundgrowler Brewing, you may recognize these names.
And they are bringing A LOT of comics.
We’re talking comics ranging from the 1960s through the 2010s, magazines, posters, prints, original artwork, comic-related collectibles and plenty of opportunities to find something you didn’t know you were looking for.
On the card side, we have AirBreaks making their Streetz Artz Alliance debut, along with Belonio Doodles and Magic Deck Vortex.
Magic: The Gathering players will find singles, unopened product, Commander decks, dice, land boxes and more. There will also be Pokémon and other cards, and we are still looking for additional Pokémon, One Piece, sports card, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lorcana and other trading card vendors to join us.
Then there are the cookies.
Lots and lots of cookies.
Cookie’s Gluten Free Kitchen will be bringing completely gluten-free cookies and treats, including chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal, lemon and snickerdoodle varieties.
Left to Right: Masterclass Savory Sweet Foods, Cookie's Gluten Free Kitchen and Your Sweet Moment shop. The three featured cookie vendors for Saturday's bazaar!
Masterclass Savory Sweet Foods is a Streetz Artz Alliance favorite and will be bringing giant gourmet cookies along with handcrafted seasoned nuts. If you haven’t tried the cracked pepper cashews yet, you’re missing out.
And joining us for the first time is Your Sweet Moment Creations, bringing homemade cookies, brownies, cake pops, sugar cookies and other sweet treats.
But remember, this is the Comics, Cards & Cookies Bazaar PLUS MORE.
MasterLink Chainmaille will have handmade necklaces, bracelets, earrings, keychains and wearable chainmaille accessories for both men and women.
D’Mood Kreationz will have beautiful handmade jewelry and accessories.
JAM. Graphics & Publishing, Belonio Doodles, Lorenzo & Christina, Robin Monique Rios, Serpentine Mermaid Designs and others will be bringing original artwork, comics, prints, stickers, digital artwork, books and more.
Lorenzo & Christina are a Latin/Arab artist duo creating vivid, spooky and sweet comics and visual art.
Melanie Klegerman Fersko is joining us as an author and artist with illustrated novels, art books, art prints, handmade jewelry, bookmarks and keychains based on her own artistic designs.
Cubed Dimensions Printing will have a variety of pop-culture-themed 3D printed creations and articulated pieces.
FeFe’s Pickles and Peppers will be bringing family-recipe pickles, peppers, onions and chow chow.
And if you’re looking for something a little different, Angelic Celestial Whispers will be offering intuitive tarot and other readings during the event.
That is a LOT of variety packed into one brewery.
And we’re still not done.
We are actively looking for a few more artists, comic vendors, card vendors, sports card vendors, Pokémon and One Piece vendors, but we’re also open to handmade artists, vintage sellers, vinyl vendors and other unique creators who fit the vibe.
Caricature artists. Henna. Crochet and plush. Candles. Soap and body care. Leather goods. Woodworking. Resin. Ceramics. Stained glass. D&D and tabletop gaming. Handmade dice. Vintage toys. Vintage clothing. Vinyl records. Pop-culture collectibles.
If you make something cool, collect something cool or sell something that fits into this crazy combination of comics, cards, cookies and creativity, we want to hear from you.
