Aurora, IL – September 3, 2025 – This Sunday, September 7, Hopvine Brewing transforms into a showcase of spooky creativity with the Haunted Halls Market, a brand-new event curated by the Streetz Artz Alliance. From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., guests are invited to sip, shop, and explore an indoor marketplace brimming with horror-inspired artistry, handcrafted goods, and eerie décor.

The Haunted Halls Market will feature 29 local artists and makers, each bringing their own unique twist on dark arts, oddities, and Halloween-inspired creations. From adoptable ghosts, tarot readings, and creepy collectibles to handmade jewelry, soaps, candles, comics, artwork, and even gourmet pickles, this market promises something for every curious shopper.

“This event is about blending the artistry of the macabre with the community spirit of a Sunday market,” said John E. Streetz, curator and head of the Streetz Artz Alliance, a collective of over 350 artists across Chicagoland. “We’re thrilled to bring our first Aurora event to Hopvine Brewing and showcase local talent in a setting that’s both family-friendly and frightfully fun.”

Featured Artists

The Haunted Halls Market highlights an eclectic mix of artists, each bringing their own twist on spooky, strange, and seasonal creations.

AforAmy Art – “Life is beautiful, even when you’re dead inside,” says artist Amy Zasadzinski, owner of AforAmy Art. Visitors can expect cheeky skeleton-themed prints and stickers, ranging from tea-drinking skeletons lounging on couches to skeletons putting on lipstick in the mirror. Available in multiple sizes, including 4”x5” and 8”x10”, Amy’s pieces blend dark humor with a playful touch of light in the shadows.

Secondhand Nightmares – Billing themselves as a “purveyor of delightfully creepy art and spooky home décor,” Secondhand Nightmares transforms thrifted, donated, and abandoned objects into hauntingly beautiful works. From hand-painted collectibles to eerie assemblage pieces and wearable art, this artist turns the unwanted into unforgettable.

Violet Weatherstone – Specializing in Halloween and dark art with vintage vibes, Violet Weatherstone offers prints, original artwork, stickers, and vintage-style papier-mâché creations. Each piece captures the timeless charm of spooky aesthetics with a nostalgic edge.

Moonlight BEEN – Carrie Been, a founding member of the Streetz Artz Alliance, is known for horror-inspired home décor and “everything spooky.” From dolls and props to jewelry and monstrous creations, her ever-changing table ensures there’s always something new to discover.

JLK Soaps and Such – “I make handcrafted soaps, shower steamers, exfoliating sugar scrubs, luxurious lotions, body sprays, beard oil, hand-painted bath bombs, and car freshies,” says owner Jami Kielhack. With skin-safe ingredients in vibrant colors and creative designs, JLK Soaps and Such offers pampering products that bring beauty and indulgence to every season.

Adara Selene Creations – “Hi, I’m Mary. I am the owner and creative mind behind Adara Selene Creations, also known as The ADHD of Creativity (and yes, it’s a real diagnosis, not just a quirky tagline),” says artist Mary Sklom. Her table overflows with a dazzling variety: necklaces, earrings, shirts, knit hats, plant markers, resin dominoes, bookmarks, and more. Each piece, she says, is “personality armor—layered, bold, wildly expressive, and rooted in both humor and intention.”
