Mokena’s beloved Crafted 1979 is set to light up the weekend with two back-to-back celebrations of local creativity, live music, and community spirit. Partnering with the Streetz Artz Alliance, both nights will showcase a curated lineup of artisans, food pop-ups, craft drinks, and entertainment—all happening right outside the doors of Crafted 1979 at 19200 LaGrange Road, Suite E.

Friday, September 12 – Crafted Small Street Market & Fun (6 PM – 10 PM)

Friday night kicks off with the return of the Crafted Small Street Market and Fun. From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., patrons can sip on craft cocktails, explore unique handmade goods, and enjoy live acoustic music from The Hi-Fi Stereotypes. Food lovers will find crowd favorites with Ricobene’s and Cousins Maine Lobster food trucks, while Crafted 1979 keeps glasses full with specialty cocktails and featured pours from Gnosis Brewing and Yuengling Beer.

The Streetz Artz Alliance, under the direction of John E. Streetz, will fill both sides of the court with a diverse mix of artists. Friday’s lineup includes over 30 vendors such as Adara Selene Creations, Ten Cups Tarot, Bosco’s All Natural, Masterclass Savory Sweet Foods, Scrapgrinder Guitars, and Wanna Pickle Gourmet Foods. Guests can expect everything from handmade jewelry and artwork to artisan treats and gaming finds.

Saturday, September 13 – Craftoberfest (3 PM – 9 PM)

On Saturday, Crafted 1979 transforms the street for Craftoberfest, a family-friendly fall festival running from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests can sip local brews from Revolution Brewing and Phase Three Brewing Company, enjoy food from multiple trucks, and browse a completely different lineup of artists curated by the Streetz Artz Alliance.

Highlights include live local music, kid-friendly activities, and classic festival competitions like stein-holding and keg toss—with prizes for the champions. Vendors such as Wicked Art LLC, Starberrie Handmade Jewelry, Geekbit Creations, Reflections with Kate, and A Gift From Ethan will join returning favorites like I Just Wet My Plants and Wolf Den Gaming to offer one-of-a-kind shopping.

Crafted 1979 describes the event as “our take on the classic fall festival,” with artisan vendors, drinks, food, and live entertainment packed into one unforgettable evening.
