Brookfield, IL – Imperial Oak Brewing's Brookfield location celebrates its four-year anniversary from April 11–13 and is once again teaming up with the Streetz Artz Alliance to bring back its popular artisan market on Sunday, April 13, just in time for spring and Mother's Day. Over twenty local artists and makers will take over the space from 12 PM to 5 PM for a day of craft beer, shopping, and community.

The event takes place at 9526 Ogden Ave in Brookfield and features 23 artists, with 19 set up indoors and 4 outside under individual tents, weather permitting. There will be no large tent outdoors for this event.

This long-running collaboration between Imperial Oak Brewing and the Streetz Artz Alliance spans more than three years.

“We’ve got a brand-new mix of artists, plus returning fan favorites like Gigawatt Coffee, Same and Went, and KayDee Kay Creations,” says John Streetz, founder of Streetz Artz Alliance and curator of the event. “We’re also welcoming exciting new vendors like Alley Art, Abearcub Wraps, and Just Yours Jewelry.”

Streetz, also a crafter and owner of Bead Streetz (Perler bead art and potted plants), explained that the market’s mission is to celebrate small artists and local makers, provide a safe, relaxing environment for the community to sip and shop, and support independent businesses like the brewery itself. (Note: Bead Streetz is not participating in this particular event.)

Returning artist Kathy Kramer, owner of KayDee Kay Creations, shared her enthusiasm:

“I’ve always loved coming to this establishment—especially when I get to sell my vintage and repurposed art. I’m very excited to debut my new chicken wire and succulent suncatchers. I look forward to seeing all of my Brookfield friends and returning patrons!”

The lineup features a diverse blend of artists and makers, half of whom are brand new to this location. The new artist roster includes Abearcub Wraps, ALLEY ART, Black Soul Arts, Crafty Creations, JB Jewelry Design, Jonathan Grimm Art, Just Yours Jewelry, Kismetal Jewelry, Kulay Illustrations, Personal LLements, Rantana Creations, and Rin Marks. Offerings range from original artwork and jewelry to wood décor, tumblers, sewn goods, and more.

Spencer Hearne, of Spencer’s Caricatures, also returns for the event:

“I’m a caricature artist based in Chicago, doing my best to capture people’s likenesses with quality, humorous artwork. I got my start drawing caricatures at the Lincoln Park Zoo, and now I travel around Chicago and the suburbs working fairs, events, and parties.”

Rin Marks, one of the artists in this event, is making her Brookfield debut.

“I create handmade sculpture and décor with a whimsical twist. I love combining mediums to create unique 3D art full of color, texture, and personality.”
